1. Will the AC power adaptor that comes
with the Internet Telephones and Internet Telephone Gateways Adapter work in
countries other than the US, Canada and Vietnam?
Yes, the Internet Telephones or Internet Telephone Gateways Adapter comes
with a universal switching power adapter. You will only need to purchase a
socket adapter for the appropriate country.
2. Can I use FreeTEL System
Telephones and Telephone Gateways Adapter behind a firewall?
Yes, it is possible to use any FreeTEL System Internet Telephones and
Internet Telephone Gateways Adapter behind a firewall. FreeTEL System
Internet Telephones and Internet Telephone Gateways Adapter have the advanced
built-in automated NAT Transversal and Reversal features and theses features
allows you to be inside or outside of a firewall.
3. Is it possible to change the on-hold
music on FTS-P100 Internet Telephones?
No. The on-hold music is provided by us and stored on our servers.
4. Why is the voice unclear
sometimes?
The internet bandwidth and transfer rate affects voice quality. Check the
status of your internet connection and transfer rate at the time you are
using the telephone.
5. What equipment is required?
To use FreeTEL Networks free service, you must have an internet connection.
You must also have pre-configured FreeTEL System devices which you can purchase directly
on our website or from our distributors.
6. How do I make free phone calls?
FreeTEL Networks provides you free internet telephone service. There is no
charge no matter how long or often you use the phone line.
7. Can I dial
landlines or cell phones?
Yes, if you bought FTS-G200 Internet Telephone Gateway Adapter and have your home phone line connects to the
Line Port of the device, you can do so. Please refer to the FTS-G200 Internet
Telephone Gateway Adapter User
Guide for more detail.
8. I cannot make a call. What should
I do?
First, make sure you are plugged into a broadband or dial-up internet
connection. You should check that the network cable is firmly plugged into
your phone and your router. Next, make sure you see green light at the
network port of your gateway or the solid square symbol on the upper left corner of
your phone LCD. If all these are correct and you still experience the
problem, unplug your power cord, wait for 2 minutes and re-plug.
9. Can I restore base installation
of manufacturer?
No, this action will erase the system configuration that disallows your
device to connect to FreeTEL Networks free service. If you have done so,
you must contact FreeTEL System representatives and schedule to ship back for
re-configuration. |
