FTS–G100 INTERNET TELEPHONE GATEWAY ADAPTER

Gateway Adapter! You made an excellent choice and we hope you will enjoy all
its capabilities. FreeTEL System FTS–G100 Internet Telephone Gateway Adapter
is an innovative Voice over IP Gateway Adapter, which offers a rich set of

Internet Gateway Adapter is fully compatible with the SIP industry standard and automatically

1. Make a Phone Call
The FTS–G100 Telephone Gateway allows you to use your home phone to make regular calls and
Internet calls. Basically, there are four ways to make phone calls:

To make regular calls, dial *0 following by the regular telephone numbers and
wait for 4 seconds.

To make regular calls, dial *0 following by the regular telephone numbers and
press # button.

To make Internet Telephone calls, dial the Internet telephone number directly and
wait for 4 seconds.
-
To make Internet Telephone calls, dial the Internet telephone number directly and press #
button.
2. Answer an Incoming Call
The FTS–G100 Telephone Gateway allows you to receive regular calls and
Internet Telephone calls on
the same phone. When a call (regular call or Internet call) is received, the FTS–G100 will alert you with a ringing tone on your phone. At that point,
simply pick up the handset to answer the call and begin talking with the
caller. When the call has ended, hand up the handset.
Note: When the FTS–G100 Telephone Gateway is out of power, you still can use your phone to make
regular calls.
3. Put a Call on Hold
While in conversation, pressing the FLASH or HOLD button will put the remote
end on hold. Pressing the FLASH or HOLD button again will release the
previously hold state and resume the conversation.
Note: If you use an older regular phone at home, you can simulate the FLASH
button by a Hook Flash (Toggle the hang up switch).
4. Call Waiting and Call Flashing
While in conversation, you will hear a special stutter tone if there is
another incoming call. You then can press the FLASH button to put the current
call on hold and switch to the new incoming call. Pressing FLASH button
toggles between two active calls.
5. Transfer a Call
You can transfer an active call to a third party by using the FLASH button.
Assuming that you are in conversation with your mom and you want to transfer
your mom's call to your uncle.

You press the FLASH button on your regular phone to get a dial tone.

You then dial your uncle's telephone number and wait for 4 seconds.

If your uncle answers the call, then you can hang up to complete the
transfer.

If your uncle does not answer the call, you can press the FLASH button to
resume the conversation with your mom.
Note: When the transfer is failed, if you hang up, the FTS–G100 Telephone
Gateway will ring you
back again to remind you that your Mom is still on the line. You can pick up
the phone to resume the conversation with your mom.
6. Conference Call
FTS–G100 Telephone Gateway supports 3-way conference call. Assuming that you are in
conversation with your Mom and you want to bring your Uncle in the
conference:
-
You press the FLASH button on your regular phone to get a dial tone and put
your Mom on hold.
-
You dial *23 followed by your Uncle's telephone number and wait for 4
seconds.

If your uncle answers the call, then you press the FLASH button to bring your
mom and your uncle in the conference.
-
If your uncle does not answer the call, you can press the FLASH button to get
your mom back to the conversation.
Note: During the conference, if your mom or uncle drops the call; the
remaining two parties can still talk. However, if you (the conference
initiator) hang up, all calls will be terminated.
7. Key Call Features
The following table shows the available call features of the FTS–G100
Telephone Gateway by
using keypad (*):

*23 3-way conference

*30 Block Caller ID or *31 Send Caller ID – Permanent setting

*67 Block Caller ID or *82 Send Caller ID – Per call base

*50 Disable Call Waiting or *51 Enable Call Waiting – Permanent setting

*70 Disable Call Waiting or *71 Enable Call Waiting – Per call base

*72 Unconditional Call Forward: Dial *72 and wait for the dial tone. Then
dial the forward number followed by the # button, you will hear dial tone
again to confirm the forward, and then hang up.

*73 Cancel Unconditional Call Forward: Dial *73, wait for the dial tone and
hang up.

*90 Busy Call Forward: Dial *90 and wait for the dial tone. Then dial the
forward number followed by the # button, you will hear dial tone again and
then hang up.

*91 Cancel Busy Call Forward: Dial *91, wait for the dial tone, and then hang
up.
