FTS–G200 INTERNET TELEPHONE GATEWAY ADAPTER

Congratulation on becoming an owner of the FTS–G200 Internet Telephone Gateway Adapter! You made an excellent choice and we hope you will enjoy all its capabilities. FreeTEL System FTS–G200 Internet Telephone Gateway Adapter is an innovative Voice over IP Gateway Adapter, which offers a rich set of functionality and superb sound quality at an ultra-affordable price. FTS–G200 is fully compatible with the SIP industry standard and automatically interoperates with FreeTEL Networks VoIP Service Provider. Anywhere, Anytime, Anyone can talk for free!

1. Answer an Incoming Call
The FTS–G200 Telephone Gateway allows you to receive regular calls and Internet Telephone calls on the same phone. When a call (regular call or Internet call) is received, the FTS–G200 Telephone Gateway will alert you with a ringing tone on your phone. At that point, simply pick up the handset to answer the call normally. When the FTS–G200 Telephone Gateway is out of power, you still can use your phone to make regular calls.

2. Make a Phone Call
The FTS–G200 Telephone Gateway allows you to use your home phone to make regular calls or Internet calls. Basically, there are two ways to make phone calls:

  1. To make regular calls, dial *0 following by the regular telephone numbers and wait for 4 seconds.
  2. To make Internet Telephone calls, dial the Internet number directly and press # button.

3. Make a Phone Call – Your family members can call your cell phone, office phones or any regular phones (Internet-to-Regular Phone Calls)
Each FTS–G200 comes with two phone numbers, one for the phone connected to the PHONE port of the FTS–G200 and one to use with your regular home phone line (PSTN) connected to the LINE port. Assuming that your mom wants to call your cell phone or office phone while you are not at home:

  1. She dials your LINE port phone number (Internet Phone Number) and waits for 4 seconds. A ring tone is played once followed by a special dial tone. At this point, your mom has to enter your PIN code via her phone keypad. If the PIN is correct, a regular dial tone will be prompted.
  2. At this time, she can dial your cell phone number or your office phone number, or any regular phone numbers to reach you. Four seconds after dialing your phone number, the call will be established.
  3. If your mom does not dial any phone numbers or enters a wrong PIN code during this process, your FTS–G200 will hang up automatically after 10 seconds.

Note: Your Mom needs to know your LINE port phone number (Internet Phone Number) and your PIN code. The PIN code is used to control the access to your home phone line. This is a protection for your home phone line usage.

4. Make a Phone Call – You can call your family from your cell phone, office phone or any regular phones (Regular Phone-to-Internet Calls)
Assuming that you want to call your Mom from your cell phone, office phone or any regular phones while you are not at home:

  1. You dial your regular home phone number (the one connected to your LINE port), after four ring tones and if no one answers your phone call, a special dial tone is played. At this point, you have to enter your PIN code via your actual phone keypad. If the PIN is correct, a regular dial tone will be prompted.
  2. At this time, you can dial your mom's phone number to reach her. Four seconds after dialing your mom's phone number, the call will be established.
  3. If you do not dial any phone numbers or enter a wrong PIN code during this process, your FTS–G200 will hang up automatically after 10 seconds.

5. Make a Phone Call – Call your family cell phone or any regular phones from your cell phone or any regular phones (Regular Phone-to-Regular Phone Calls)
Assuming that you want to call your Mom's cell phone, office phone or any regular phones from your cell phone, office phone or any regular phones:

  1. You dial your regular home phone number (the one connected to your LINE port), after four ring tones and if no one answers your phone call, a special dial tone is played. 2. At this time, you can dial your mom's LINE port phone number (Internet Phone Number) and wait for 4 seconds. A ring tone is played once followed by a special dial tone. At this point, you have to enter your mom's PIN code via your actual phone keypad. If the PIN is correct, a regular dial tone will be prompted.
  3. You then can dial your mom's cell phone number, office phone number, or any regular phone numbers to reach her. Four seconds after dialing your mom's phone number, the call will be established afterwards.
  4. If you do not dial any phone numbers or enter a wrong PIN code during this process, your FTS–G200 and your mom's FTS–G200 will hang up automatically after 10 seconds.

6. Put a Call on Hold
While in conversation, pressing the FLASH or HOLD button will put the remote end on hold. Pressing the FLASH or HOLD button again will release the previously hold state and resume the conversation.

Note:  If you use an older regular phone at home, you can simulate the FLASH button by a Hook Flash (Toggle the hang up switch).

7. Call Waiting and Call Flashing
While in conversation, you will hear a special stutter tone if there is another incoming call. You then can press the FLASH button to put the current call on hold and switch to the new incoming call. Pressing FLASH button toggles between two active calls.

  4. If your uncle does not answer the call, you can press the FLASH button to get back to your mom.

Note: When the transfer is failed, if you hang up, the FTS–G200 will ring you back again to remind you that your mom is still on the line. You can pick up the phone to resume the conversation with your mom.
