FTS–P200 DIALUP INTERNET TELEPHONE

Congratulation on becoming an owner of the FTS-P200 Dialup Internet Telephone! You made an excellent choice and we hope you will enjoy all its capabilities. FreeTEL System FTS-P200 Dialup Internet  Telephone is an innovative IP telephone, which offers a rich set of functionality and superb sound quality at an ultra-affordable price. FTS-P200 Dialup Internet Telephone is a state-of-the-art IP desktop telephone incorporating a built-in dialup 56Kmodem; it can be used with or without high-speed broadband internet connection. FTS-P200 is fully compatible with the SIP industry standard and automatically interoperates with FreeTEL Networks VoIP Service Provider. Anywhere, Anytime, Anyone can talk for free!

1. Make a Phone Call
Before making any calls, you need to establish an internet Dialup connection with your Internet Service Provider. Press the SPEAKER button, then dial 6 and press the SERVICE button. The red blinking status LED will turn steady when your connection is successful. You can then start making a call. There are three ways to make phone calls:

  1. Pick up the handset and dial the phone number followed by the # button.

  2. Pick up the handset and press the REDIAL button directly to redial the last number called.

  3. Browse the call logs history by pressing the CALL LOG button and navigate the call logs with the VOL (+) and VOL (-) buttons, and press the ENTER button to select the desired items. Once you have a desired phone number displayed on the LCD, pick up the handset and press the # button to dial the selected number.

When ending your call, the internet connection with your Internet Service Provider is automatically disconnected after 30 seconds. This action will release your regular home phone line and reduce the use of your dialup connection. You will need to redo the connection process if the status LED is blinking red. If you want to disconnect from your Internet Service Provider instantly after ending a call, you can dial 7 and press the SERVICE button.

2. Answer an Incoming Call
When a call is received, the FTS-P200 Dialup Telephone will alert you with a ringing tone. At that point, simply pick up the handset to answer the call and begin talking with the caller. When the call has ended, hang up the handset.

3. Put a Call on Hold
While in conversation, pressing the HOLD button will put the remote end on hold. Pressing the HOLD button again will release the previously hold state and resume the conversation.

4. Call Waiting
While in conversation, you will hear a special tone if there is another incoming call. You can press the HOLD button to put the current call on hold and switch to the new incoming call. Pressing HOLD button toggles between two active calls.

5. Transfer a Call and Call Flashing
You can transfer an active call to a third party. By pressing the HOLD button, you will place the current active call on hold, and then dial the third party's phone number. If the call is answered by the third party, press FLASH button to complete the transfer operation and hang up. If the call is not answered by the third party, press FLASH button to resume the original call.

Note: When the transfer is failed, if you hang up, the FTS–P200 Dialup Telephone will ring you back again to remind you that your original call is still active. You can pick up the phone to resume the conversation with the original call.

6. Adjust your Phone Volume
While in conversation, you can press on the VOL (+) or VOL (-) to increase or decrease your phone volume.

7. CALL LOG Button
This button is used to browse missed, dialed or answered call records.

8. FLASH Button
This button is used to transfer an active call to a third party.

9. HOLD Button
This button is used to place a call on hold and/or answer a new incoming call if there is an incoming waiting call. It can also be used with the FLASH button to transfer an active call to a third party.

10. REDIAL Button
Press this button to redial the last dialed telephone number automatically.
